Oracle Utilities Smart Grid Gateway (SGG) Adapter Install question

When an environment already has the MV90 adapter or any other adapter installed and they have a requirement to install another one, such as ADK, in the same environment is it necessary to run the db and application installations for Framework, SMDF, and ADK or can ADK only be run since the previous adapter installed Framework and SMDF already?
