ItemCre Fails to Be Processed in SIM When the Unit_Cost Is Larger Than Numeric (12,4) (Doc ID 2455623.1)

Symptoms

When a new item is created in the Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) with the numeric value of ITEM_SUPP_COUNTRY.UNIT_COST larger than (12,4), the Oracle Store Inventory Management (SIM) will fail to process the ItemCre message sent from RMS.

Steps to Create:

1. From RMS, Create a new Item and make sure that the ITEM_SUPP_COUNTRY.UNIT_COST value is higher than NUMERIC (12,4)
For example: 1,234,567,890.0000 .

2. RMS will send the ItemCre message to SIM.
Notice that the SIM will fail to process the message with the following error;
