After Database Refresh from Another Environment, How to Sync Up ORPatch Metadata Between DBMANIFEST Table and ORPatch Inventory? (Doc ID 2460478.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 06, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 14.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

How to sync up ORPatch metadata between Retail Merchandising System (RMS) DBMANIFEST table and ORPatch inventory file after Database is refreshed with backup from another environment? What is the best practice for keeping metadata in sync on the RMS database server?

Scenario:
1. The RMS database in production is updated with Patch A (dbmanifest table metadata in the Production database now has the new patch)
2. The RMS database in test has not been updated yet with Patch A (neither dbmanifest table nor orpatch inventory file on the file system have the new patch yet)
3. The RMS database in test is refreshed with the production copy.
4. The RMS database in test is therefore updated with Patch A through the refresh (dbmanifest table metadata in the database has new patch), but orpatch inventory does not include the new patch yet.
