Error: "AFMGS-2376-5" When Adding Risk Pessimistic Columns After A Risk Analysis Was Executed (Doc ID 2460984.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to display Risk Dates in P6 Client:

the following error occurs.

ERROR

Event Code: AFMGS-2376-5
Message: TCArcturusFormatMgr.GetStartDateFieldName: pre_pess_finish_date has no start date.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Create a project in P6, create 2 activities and give them each 10 days of duration
  2. Go into Gateway > Master Data > Send Resources to Prime Business Flow > Run it (Make sure to include Global Calendars and Resources Calendars)
  3. Go into Prime Projects and create a project with the same ID in P6
  4. Go back into Gateway > Project Data > Send P6 Project Data to Prime > Run it (This will bring over the activities from P6 into Prime)
  5. Go into Prime and Open the schedule App
  6. Go to Actions > Apply Activity Uncertainty (Accept Defaults)
  7. Add columns to view: Remaining Duration, Minimum Duration, Most likely Duration, Maximum Duration, Uncertainty Distribution
  8. Select Risks App > Go to Register
  9. Add a Risk
    1. Select Probability
    2. Pre- Response
      1. Shape = Single Point
      2. Most Likely = 80%
    3. Select 'Respond'
    4. Select Under Post Response
      1. Shape = Single Point
      2. Most Likely = 20%
  10. Select Schedule Impact
    1. Pre Response
      1. Shape = uniform
      2. Minimum = 30d
      3. Maximum = 50d
    2. Select 'Respond'
    3. Select Under Post Response
      1. Shape = uniform
      2. Minimum = 3d
      3. Maximum = 6d
  11. Select 'Activity'
    1. Assign an activity to the Risk.
  12. Go back to Schedule and Schedule the project (May have to give the total float in settings a value if an error happens)
  13. Go to Risks > 'Run Analysis'
    1. Select dropdown in 'Response Context' = Pre and Post Response.
    2. Select 'Analyze'
  14. Go to Schedule App add the following columns, these should have dates now.
    1. Pre Response Pessimistic Start Date
    2. Pre Response Pessimistic Finish Date
    3. Post Response Pessimistic Start Date
    4. Post Response Pessimistic Finish Date
  15. Go back into Gateway > Project Data > Send Prime Project data to P6
    1. Set EPS location in Flow
  16. Go back into P6 and now these columns show have values.
    1. Pre Response Pessimistic Start Date
    2. Pre Response Pessimistic Finish Date
    3. Post Response Pessimistic Start Date
    4. Post Response Pessimistic Finish Date
  17. Log into P6 Client
  18. Open the project you created in Step 1
  19. Under the General Section add the following columns to your layout
    1. Post response Activity Pessimistic Finish
    2. Post response Activity Pessimistic start
    3. Pre response Activity Pessimistic Finish
    4. Pre response Activity Pessimistic start
  20. Error will show after adding all the columns
