Symptoms

WebStart (launched from browser) does not clean up the jnlp file after closing/exiting. The JNLP file is downloaded to the browser defined "Download" directory. Upon exiting, the jnlp file remains in the user Download (or other user defined) directory. Each time the application is launched again, a new copy of the jnlp file is created. The result is that the user machine begins to waste disk space.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Start AutoVue jnlp.
  2. Notice there is a file named VueJNLPServlet.jnlp in the Download folder.
  3. Close AutoVue jnlp.
  4. Notice that the file VueJNLPServlet.jnlp is still present and was not deleted when the browser was closed.
