SASL PLAIN Admin Proxy Attempt with Non-Existent Proxy/Admin UserID Does Not Log the UserID (Doc ID 2462243.1)

Symptoms

SASL PLAIN admin proxy attempt with non-existent proxy/admin userid does not log the userid.

The ua= attribute in the transaction log is not shown in this case:

  Provide a valid admin/proxy userid but an incorrect password.

The following sequence justifies how the issue is seen:

Try to SASL PLAIN admin proxy thru the MMP (ie, connect to port 143 on the MMP):
