MCAD Users Can Manually Create Any Non-Standard Change Item (ECO) Number When Compared to Using the AutoNumber Button (Doc ID 2464980.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 26, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Agile PLM MCAD Connector - Version 3.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Problem Summary

Agile MCAD 3.5 allows users when assigning a Change Item (ECO) to manually create any number/name they want then selecting continue. The CAXConfig option AllowExistingChangesOnly has been set to both True and False and the behavior doesn't change.

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Open CAD and log into Agile EC
  2. Create new, Agile Save Preview
  3. Assign Change, manually enter something, as long as it has Capital letters
  4. Select Continue

Expected Behavior:

This should fail and tell the user that they aren't adhering to the naming convention for ECO's. In the Assign Change Window, should be greyed out until either Autonumber or Search are selected.
