DMW: "An Unexpected Error Occurred While Processing The Queries" with Browse Listings the DMW, then ORA-01722 in the Weblogic Diagnostic Log (Doc ID 2472936.1)

Symptoms

DMW 2.4.8, with Listings, users get the following error message when attempting to browse data in DMW:


ERROR
========

DMW-###: An unexpected error occurred while processing the queries. Please try again. If the error persists please contact the system administrator.

(ok)


- This model has data
- However, users are not able to browse it in DMW
- Users can successfully browse the same model inside LSH

In the Weblogic Diagnostic Log, you see the error message on a SELECT statement:

Caused by: oracle.jbo.SQLStmtException: JBO-27122: SQL error during statement



STEPS TO REPLICATE
===============
1. go to DMW
2. go to Listing
3. go to Study 
4. go to Listings 
5. select Browse
6. There is a message:

Confirmation: Do you want to access the blinded data (yes) (no)

7. Select Yes, and then the resulting Error Message is:
 
DMW-###: An unexpected error occurred while processing the queries. Please try again. If the error persists please contact the system administrator.
(ok)

 

Changes

 Masking criteria on a numeric column was configured with characters.
