SETUP AND PROBLEM DESCRIPTION
------------------------------
Comparing the search results with an anonymous user which uses the default catalog, the Root Catalog ID catalog140001 vs a registered user who has the catalog ID catalog70001.
The Root Catalog is ID catalog140001, is a parent of catalog ID catalog70001.

BCC segmentation are used in Experience Manager.

Querying "'Patch Cords" with an anonymous user returns 3 products (35103000, 35103001, 35123000), however with a registered users no products are returned.
Since one of the parent categories for these products is with the Root Catalog (ID catalog140001), the customer expect to see the same 3 products when querying with a registered user.

Here is an example of the set up and unexpected behaviors that the customer is experiencing.
======================================================================
In BCC:

======

The SHOP site's default catalog is Root Catalog is Shop (ID 140001).

Root Catalog Shop (ID catalog140001) has the following 2 sub catalogs.
  Catalog Shop (ID catalog70001)
  Catalog xxx (ID catalog130001)

Catalog Shop (ID catalog70001) has following categories:
  Kits (ID cat230001)
  Product Line (ID lineRootCategory)
  Products (ID typeRootCategory)

Products (ID typeRootCategory) has many sub-categories and one of them is 'Patch Cords (cat70102)'

One of he products belong to 'Patch Cords (cat70102)' category is below.
  PATCH CORD U/UTP/PLUS CAT.5E - CMX - T568A/B - 1.5 M - AZUL (35103000)
  PATCH CORD U/UTP/PLUS CAT.5E - CMX - T568A/B - 2.5 M - AZUL (35103001)
  PATCH CORD U/UTP/PLUS CAT.6 - CMX - T568A/B - 1.5 M - AZUL (35123000)
  PATCH CORD U/UTP/PLUS CAT.6 - CMX - T568A/B - 2.5 M - AZUL (35123001)

In Storefront:

===========

Querying opening patch-records category using the URL "local.xxxxx.com.br/storefront/c/products/patch-cords/_/N-qf0k5g" using the default Root Catalog SohoShop (ID 140001) shows 3 products returned. Since 35123001 was not indexed, this is the (EXPECTED BEHAVIOR).

PATCH CORD U/UTP PLUS CAT.5E - CMX - T568A/B - 1.5M - AZUL CLARO(35103000)
PATCH CORD U/UTP PLUS CAT.5E - CMX - T568A/B - 2.5M - AZUL CLARO (35103001)
PATCH CORD U/UTP PLUS CAT.6 - CMX - T568A/B - 1.5M - AZUL CLARO (35123000)

Running the same query with registered user whose default catalog is set to 'Catalog Shop (ID catalog70001)', it did not return any results (UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR). The customer expects to see the same 3 products (35103000, 35103001, 35123000)
