Unable To Create Item Using LOV Search For Department Class Or Subclass (Doc ID 2475131.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to create item users are getting the following error the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
java.lang.Nullerpointer exeception


Steps to reproduce:

  1. Login into RMS.
  2. Press New Item Menu
  3. Select Type Regular Item.
  4. On department LOV instead of selecting one of the values of the LOV presses the "More..." and search and select a department from the popup and press OK.
  5. Select a Class and Subclass from the LOVs without pressing "more..." button.
  6. Transaction Level select 1.
  7. Number type ORIN.
  8. Item number populated automatically.
  9. Enter description and short description.
