Can we install APEX in standalone mode for OUA Admin Tools? (Doc ID 2475170.1)

Is there a reason why APEX in OUA 2.7 version needs to be installed as a weblogic domain?

We would like to install APEX in standalone mode.

Please advise if there is any functionality that we we lose by installing APEX in standalone mode rather than with weblogic?
