Inconsistency In Release Date Validation Between Induction Process And RMS UI (Doc ID 2478046.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 16.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 16.0.1 version, Procurement
Xdock Purchase Order (PO) and allocation : inconsistency with the release Date

If for an item the Lead Time is 40 days, in induction process, the PO is created in the worksheet status because the Pick Up Date calculated by the system is after Not Before Date. PO can be approved with Release Date that is before the Not After Date.
Validation error should be in place for Release Date and corresponding message should be returned to user Ex: Release date should be greater or equal to the not before date.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create a PO using template for an item that has pickup lead time 40 days, in the template leave set the dates as follow:
Written Date Not Before Date Not After Date Pickup Date Release Date
18-JUN-18 18-JUN-18 28-JUN-18 null null

2. Po is created in the worksheet status because the pick up calculated by the system is after the not after date. The Release date has been fulfilled by the system equal to the Not before Date (18 JUN 18).

3.Go UI screen change the date in order to comply with validation for pick up date between not before dates and not after date and try to approve the PO.
The PO is approved with a release date before the not after date
