Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) 8.0.6

Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA), after a fresh install or cloning of 8.0.6, when logging in, you do not see any applications listed on the main screen.  Only the following items are listed:

Identity Management
Translation Tools
Object Administration
Utilities

The users have been assigned the correct User Groups to access the applications.  You expect to see items like "Financial Services Funds Transfer Pricing", "Financial Services Profitability Management", and "Financial Services Asset Liability Management" on the main screen after logging in but they are missing.

You do find the following error in the web server's nohup.out file:

09:53:57.285 [Thread-53] FATAL SMSLOGGER - [NA] [INFORMATIONDOMAINSERVICES] [AESCryptor] Exception while trying to decrpyt string Given final block not properly padded

The following rows shows "V_APP_ID in (null)" are also output to the SMSService.log in $FIC_HOME/logs:

Executing normal Select Query : [select V_APP_ID, V_ENABLE_KEY from AAI_APP_PACK_AUDIT_TRAIL where D_ENABLE_DATE IS NOT NULL]
Connection Type getting used ->
Apache Connection
Executing normal Select Query : [select V_APP_ID, V_ACCESS_CODE from AAI_APP_B where V_APP_ID in (null)]

You are not sure why there is a "null" in the query above when valid apps exist in AAI_APP_PACK_AUDIT_TRAIL.
