CRF history report does not run from the CRF Page for a long DCI name

Symptoms
When opening a DCI CRF page(s) that has a longer DCI name and generating the CRF History report, the Report never completes on the DE page interface and there's only the Icon with a red X displayed.
The report is shown from the Reports tab in RDC, and can opened from the Reports Tab. It also gets generated on the report server as a .pdf file.
