ISS Uses Large Number Of Connections to Mailstore for Single User (Doc ID 2483533.1)

A spike in number of connections for ISS server can be noticed for a single user.

For example, 4000 disconnects were observed in less than one second.

Why would this happen ? Is there a configuration option in ISS to limit the number of connections ?
