Symptoms

Unable to preview OpenLDAP user from Java Client with below message:

Error

No user available against this filter

Facts

OpenLDAP users can be previewed from WebLogic admin console using the same filter


Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Log into Java Client as admin user
  2. Goto Admin tab > Settings > Server Settings > LDAP
  3. Click New LDAP button, and configure LDAP. Select Agent: GenericLDAP
  4. Add Customize Script
  5. Save
  6. Preview
