Convergence Identity Settings Modification (Doc ID 2495168.1)

Symptoms

Our goal is to enable the Modification of Identity Settings, as documented in the Convergence_Customization_Guide. 

We were able to change the sender name (cn) and the Reply-to Address (nswmExtendeduserprefs : meReplyToAddress=) successfully, but changing the Email Address doesn't work.
Even after editing that field, saving the preferences and logging out and back in, the previous value comes back.
