Change of Contract Period Does Not Generate Premium for Months after the Previous End of Contract (Doc ID 2495373.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Health Insurance Enterprise Policy Administration - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When individual members do not renew their policies on time or do not pay their yearly premium on time they are being suspended until the renewal is a fact and the premium has been paid. When the premium has been paid the start date of the contract period will shift to the first of the month after payment. The end date will also shift accordingly to comply to the year.

After the shift of the start and end date of the contract period, 'Generate Policy Mutations' and 'Calculate premium' are run. When the activities are finished the premium for the new/additional months after the previous contract end date have not been calculated.

This situation has never been encountered before.  There is no known workaround.

The expected behavior is Premium for the additional months after the previous end date of the contract period is calculated.

Correct invoices cannot be generated after a shift of the dates of the original contract period.
