Cannot Connect the Primavera Integration API to P6 Professional Database (Doc ID 2495961.1)

Symptoms

When prompted to enter the database connection details during the installation of the Integration API it is unclear what values should be entered on the Database Configuration screen. The API is being connected to a stand-alone P6 Professional database. Any details that are entered result in an error creating the connection.
