Slow Performance in P6 Web at Login and When Accessing Pages (Doc ID 2496250.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 25, 2019

Applies to:

Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management - Version 18.8.3.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Various tasks in P6 Web are taking longer in all browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox) than in previous releases.

Example: The times below reflect a user accessing a relatively small database.  When additional users access the database, performance degrades further.

In addition the P6 managed server's log file will contain errors similar to the following:

<P6> <[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '2' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'> <> <> <fa3f93fe-2d95-4f57-854e-2e6857050427-0000007e> <1547481900925> <[severity-value: 64] [rid: 0] [partition-id: 0] [partition-name: DOMAIN] > <BEA-101360> <Recompiling JSP [ServletContext@1963383526[app:p6 module:/p6 path:null spec-version:3.1 version:18.8.3.0]], resource [/WEB-INF/jsp/components/globalfooter.jsp], because it is stale.>
