AIP : Incorrectly Calculating Contingency Projected Inventory for Non Stockholding Stores (Doc ID 2496762.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Advanced Inventory Planning - Version 14.1.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

AIP is incorrectly calculating contingency projected inventory for Non Stock-holding stores.

Non Stock-holding stores are expected to have Zero Projected Inventory (PI) at the beginning of the planning horizon (RPAS_TODAY), which is achieved by RMS not providing a store current inventory record for Non Stock-holding stores. However, in situations where Non Stock-holding stores are Available To Plan (ATP) every day and with a lead time of zero '0' (to simulate ‘web stores’), AIP will calculate a contingency PI.

Non Stock-holding stores should not have a contingency PI calculated, as it is not required – starting PI (on RPAS_TODAY) should always be 0.
