Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR:

After Importing a Microsoft Project (MSP) XML file, the durations on Lags is inaccurate. All Activity Durations are okay, but the Durations on Lags are multiplied by 600. In other words a relationship which is FS + 5 days in MSP Imports as FS +3000d in P6.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR:

Lag Duration should not be multiplied.

STEPS:

  1.  Export XML file from MSP 2016 (after changing Schedule format duration in hour, and check the work hours/day to 8hr/day).
  2.  In P6, Admin, Admin Preferences, Time Period, Hours/day 8.
  3.  Import the MSP XML file to P6.
  4.  Open the Project.
  5.  Check the Lag value, which is multiplied by 600.
