RPM Does Not Generate Worksheets After New Store Creation in RMS (Doc ID 2506861.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Price Management - Version 13.0.7 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The pricing clearance strategies set up for around 20 departments. All of them have a calendar that has a review PERIOD of 5 days with 2 days in between the review PERIODs. All the strategies are linked with the same zone. The worksheets are created 1 day before every review PERIOD starts.

Now, when a new store is created in Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) in the days between the review PERIODs and all subsequent steps followed to range the item-store information and feed the data in RPM, the RPM worksheets are not created when RPM_MERCHEXTRACTKICKOFFBATCH run on the day before the next review PERIOD starts. None of the worksheets get created on that day and you have to wait for a week when the subsequent review PERIOD starts and all worksheets are then created by RPM_MERCHEXTRACTKICKOFFBATCH.

Steps to Reproduce
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create clearance strategies at department level and associate a calendar that has review period of 5 days and 2 days in between the review periods. Generate the worksheet by running RPM_MERCHEXTARCTKICKOFFBATCH
2. Create a new store in RMS in between two review periods and perform all necessary activities to range all items to new store through likestore and then interface the information to RPM.
3. On the day before the next review period begins, try to generate the worksheets by running RPM_MERCHEXTRACTKICKOFFBATCH. The worksheets do not generate.
