Can a Project/Shell Status Refresh Be Forced for Users That Are Actively Signed in When Its Status Is Set to View-Only? (Doc ID 2507025.1)

Goal

Any users that were actively signed in when a Project/Shell's Status gets set to View-Only can still Create items in that Project/Shell.  Is there a way to force a status refresh so that those users are prevented from making further updates to the Project/Shell, so that it isn't necessary for them to either sign out and sign back in or refresh their browser window for the new Status to take effect?
