Cannot Connect To AutoVue Server Using jvue.bat, Getting Error:"Initialization failed. Exception when trying to excute channel requests nested exception is: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused : connect " (Doc ID 2508144.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading to AutoVue Client/Server 21.0.2 it is no longer possible to start AutoVue standalone via jvue.bat batch file. When double clicking on jvue.bat the following error shows up:

Initialization failed. Exception when trying to excute channel requests nested exception is:
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused : connect
at java.net.DualStackPlainSocketImpl.connect0(Native Method)
at java.net ....


Steps to reproduce

  1. Install AutoVue 21.0.2.
  2. Attempt to open AutoVue standalone by double clicking on jvue.bat which is located in "<AutoVue Install Directory>\bin" folder.
  3. The above error shows up.
