RMSMFM_ITEMS.GETNXT Performance Issue (Doc ID 2509792.1)

Symptoms

During execution of an Retail Merchandising System ( RMS ) batch process, RMSMFM_ITEMS.GETNXT is processed during a longer time as the ITEM_MFQUEUE table is growing. The issue still persist only for large data provided as input.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Prepare at least 300000 records to publish in ITEM_MFQUEUE table
  2. Run related RMS batch process
  3. Monitor sessions and notice the SQL in question comes up as top SQL while Retail Integration Bus is getting the messages from ITEM_MFQUEUE table.
