Importing a Third-Party .ics File Fails with Error - The Calendar Data Could Not Be Imported (Doc ID 2514609.1)

Symptoms

Using: Calendar Server 7.0.5.17.0 and Convergence 3.0.2.0.0.

Note: Issue also occur with Calendar Server 8.x.


In Convergence, trying to import a '.ics' file that was downloaded from a third-party site fails.

The error that appear is:
