Unable To Delete Cartridges Using Experience Manager

Information in this document applies to any platform.
Users are unable to delete cartridges using Experience Manager (XM), they receive the following error
Steps to reproduce:
1) In XM delete several cartridges (any containing link objects)
2) Save changes, cartridges were succesfully deleted.
3) Try to delete any other cartridge (not containing link objects)
4) Save changes, notice the cartridges are not deleted.
