Error 'Unable to connect to the database', 'Invalid username or password', or 'You are not authorized to use the application' When Using Turkish as the Regional Format (Doc ID 2518477.1)

Symptoms

P6 Professional login fails with one of the following errors:

Using CloudConnect:

Unable to connect to the database.

or

You are not authorized to use the application.

Using a direct connection:

Invalid username or password.

 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Control Panel > Region > Format.
  2. In the drop-down Format list select Turkish (Turkey).
  3. Configure the P6 database connection using either the P6ProCloudConnect or the Oracle direct-connection Driver Type.
  4. Attempt to login.
  5. View reported error.

Changes

 This behavior is only occurring when P6 is connecting to an Oracle Database.
