Symptoms

With the Active Directory implementation, starting the 57 ECS nodes which originally took 5min increased to ~90 min, in turn increasing the overall ECE system startup.
When Active Directory is installed, communication speed via ssh is (as expected) impacted. The slower ssh processing seems to be causing the 85min addition in the ECS node startup time.
