Last updated on DECEMBER 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Agile Engineering Data Management - Version 6.2.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Actual Behavior

Users are encountering a lot of Java Client Crashs .The problem happens sporadic, often several times a day. It seems to happen most often if an object is opened (like a part) and the users switch between tabs (like document part Relations). The Agile e6 Java Client then shows the user the Windows waiting cursor and the user can't interact with the Java Client anymore.

Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  Login local JavaClient, open an item, then switch between tabs again and again (about 50 times).
  2.  Open a work request, then switch between tabs again and again (about 50 times).
  3.  Login JavaClient WebStart, open an item, then switch between tabs again and again (about 50 times).
  4. Open a work request, then switch between tabs again and again (about 50 times).

Workaround

Press Strg + Shift + F8. After that, the user can use the Java Client again.
