The id attribute is supposed to contain unique identifier for every OHI counter record. AMS can use this attribute to identify each unique counter record from OHI and ensure no duplicates are loaded into AMS OCSA table.
Currently the id attribute is not really unique for fourth quarter counters as OHI stamps same id value for original and new 4Q counter transaction. However, once the new counter model changes are implemented with count across product flag = Y, it is expected that the id attribute will become unique and AMS will be able to utilize it for loading the counter records from OHI into AMS OCSA Table.

This worked in 2.16. In 2.16 the id attribute is available for each consumption but in 3.18.x the id attribute is no longer available.
