SALPRG(Purge Stock Ledger History) Batch Fails To Drop The Only Partition For Tran_Data_History (Doc ID 2529125.1)

Symptoms

When SALPRG batch attempts to drop last partition of TRAN_DATA_HISTORY table which meets the purge criteria, it fails to drop the partition generating the following error:

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Make sure TRAN_DATA_HISTORY table is defined as interval range partition.
  2. Make sure the dates associated to that partition fall within the purge criteria for SALPRG.
  3. Make sure that you have only one partition for TRAN_DATA_HISTORY table.
  4. Run SALPRG , notice the above error message.
