Plan transition results in below core dump when one calls a custom intermediary service to validate tax, which then calls Vertex to validate and this transaction has a failure.  

From cm.pinlog: 

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create 2 plans with options: Plan A and Plan B, enable transition among them. 
2. Create a customer and purchase plan A. 
3. Do a plan transition from Plan A to Plan B. 
    Plan transition will do the following internally. 
      a) Cancel all deals under Plan A 
      b) Purchase new deals under Plan B  
    If the cancel_deal transaction fails in step a above, then issue will be reproduced.
