Symptoms

On : 2.3.0.2.0 version, Web Switching

Completing steps should take the same amount of time regardless of the switch sheet size.
For Product configuration, it took many steps before the issue could be noticed.
Some projects have a large number of child aggregate steps which would contribute to the issue as well.
Either way, the total number of steps in the sheet should not impact the amount of time it takes to transition a step to a new state.

How to Repeat:

  1. Create two switching sheets.  One with a large number of steps. For Product configured environments, this took about 700 or so steps.  For the second sheet, about 10 or so steps.
  2. Complete a couple of steps in each sheet.
  3. From the clients Help menu, turn on debug for com.splwg.oms.client.util.proxy.ProxyInvocationHandler.
  4. Complete a step in each of the sheets and compare the times output in the log for the debug that was turned on.
