SIM Does Not Notify User if a New Receipt is Saved with Zero Quantities (Doc ID 2537492.1)

Last updated on MAY 27, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 13.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

If a user begins a receipt against an UN-received ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) and clicks confirm without adding any quantity, the receipt is completed in SIM (Store Inventory Management) and RMS (Retail Merchandising System).

There is no way in SIM to prevent a new receipt from being saved in SIM if there are no quantities.

Steps to Recreate:

1. Create an order in RMS
2. Load an ASN for the order
3. Log into SIM
4. select the store and click shipping/receiving
5. Click direct delivery
6. click Create
7. Create by PO (Purchase Order), enter PO and click next
8. Click yes to use ASN
9. Leave received quantity as 0
10. Click confirm
