On : 12.2.4 version, Engine Comp for Oracle RiskOpt in Test

Users are on 12.2.4 and have applied VCP Cum Patch - 19549533 -
Using 64 bit Linux for IO with version MSRNWL64.ppc
120.17.12020000.58.1220402.12 from one off patch 29306036. They also have a
beta fix for MSRNWL64.exe from bug 29409725

 There are other components but only these two are set for IO Planning for the moment
 Flow of Material
Org M1 is where the end item is final assembled and shipped out
Org M2 is where the component subassy = JMIOSubAssy is made and shipped to M1 to go into the end item = JMIOEndItem
 Testing Mfg LT Var at Plan option level and Item Mass Maint - in both cases Demand variability is minimal (MAPE=1%); Postponement not used
 @Test_1 >> Plan Name = JM_IO_1 (PLAN_ID=8032). This Plan has Manufacturing LT Variability specified in Plan Option (=30%). Please note it has an Item Simulation Set (for setting LT etc.), but there is no value specified for Manufacturing LT Variability for the two items. So this is the plan option level test

@Test_2 >> Plan Name = JM_IO_2 (PLAN_ID=8027). This Plan also has Manufacturing LT Variability specified in Plan Option (=30%). But the Item Simulation Set has values (=30%) specified for Manufacturing LT Variability for both items.

The expectation is that the IO SS output would be identical as 30% in the plan options and even specifying it at 30% in IMM would not expect to change the SS

Test 1 outcome:

Test 2 outcome

Users don't understand why the difference between the two test outputs

Expected IO SS values to be the same between the two IO plan runs


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Run one IO plan with only 30% Mfg LT var in the plan options
2. Run same exact plan only specify 30% Mfg LT Var in the IMM for two items
3. Compare both plan outputs for the same end item and component
4. Find SS units are different
