All Access Modes In The Bill Page Shared The Same Application Service Named CILBBLLP (Doc ID 2540249.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 14, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing - Version 2.5.0.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

On : 2.5.0.2.0 version, ENV - Environment

All access modes in the Bill page shared the same Application Service named CILBBLLP

Business Requirement:

Business requires bill cancellation details to be presented to the customer separately from the new bill (i.e. the Credit Notes functionality will be used).
Moreover, business requires that the only available option for rebilling will be the Credit Note for the whole bill followed by subsequent generation of a new replacement bill for the same period (i.e. regular “cancel”, “cancel/rebill” or credit note of individual bill segments should not be available for users).

Problem:

Since business requires to only use ‘Credit Note’ option in cancelling of the whole bill (Figure 1 in the attachment CILBBLLP_01), Customer should not give the user an access to use the ‘Credit Note’ option on the Bill Segment tab (Figure 2 in the attachment CILBBLLP_01) to avoid partial cancellation of the bill.
Currently, this is not feasible as this ‘Credit Note’ access mode in both pages are being shared in the same application service CILBBLLP.
There is no way that we can have a separate restriction of the ‘Credit Note’ access mode for these pages.
