Department Screens Are Getting Locked when Log Out Is not Made from RMS User Interface (Doc ID 2542471.1)

Symptoms

 If you close the browser when the Department creation screen is open, then the next attempt to create a department returns following error:

If you log in to the database and query the v$lock view, you will see the lock at the database level.


The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Log into RMS user interface.
  2. Open department creation page and then close the browser, without logging out.
  3. Reopen the browser and open department screen, and see the "locked by another user" message.
  4. Try again with another department and it works.
