Symptoms
Below error occurs during installation of Agile MCAD connector component, even though later version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x64) is already installed in the PC
Error
An error occurred while installing system components for Oracle Agile PLM MCAD. Setup cannot continue until all system components has been successfully installed.
Component Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x64) - 14.0.24215.1 has failed to install with the following error message:
"Another version of this product is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue. To configure or remove the existing version of this product. use Add/Remove Programs on Control Panel"
Steps
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Install MCAD connector component on client PC where Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable (x64) is installed
2. Gets error
