How to Create User Defined (Custom) FEs & Portfolio Columns / Post FTP Results to Management Ledger? (Doc ID 2543009.1)

Question 1: What are the configuration steps for creating user defined Financial Elements?

Steps are also required for creating new columns in all the instrument tables for the new FE(s), which will be used for populating the Management Ledger table.


Question 2: There is requirement to calculate additional adjustment rates and their corresponding Charges/Credits on the instrument records, using Alternate Rate Output Mapping.

How can the charges/credits in the new columns from Instrument tables be aggregated to the Management Ledger table for the newly created FEs?

If new separate Financial Element IDs are created for these additional rates, how can the new Financial Elements be posted to Management Ledger?


Question 3: Considering Profitability Application is not installed, how can the charges/credits be posted into Management Ledger against the newly created Financial Element ID, using just the FTP Application?

Can you also point us to the function/code component in the FTP Application that posts such values into Management Ledger?
