MDS Demand Priority DFF Value Not Appearing In ASCP Plan results

Goal
After setting up the Demand Priority Descriptive Flexfield for MDS and setting the profile MSC: Demand Priority Flexfield Attribute according to <Note 794086.1>, we are able to input a Demand Priority value in the MDS Entries form and save it.
Yet after running Data Collections and MPS and ASCP, the Order Priority value of the item which was input the Demand Priority DFF value does not appear in the MPS Plan results.
We were expecting to see the Order Priority equal to the DFF value on the Manual Demand line for the item input in MDS (the demand itself is there but not the Order Priority).
As shown in the attached example we entered 1000 for the MDS demand priority and in the plan output we see Order Priority = 71
Are there other steps to get this functionality to work, or is this a bug?
