Rerating of Events with Zero Amount Prevents Rerating from Generating Adjustment Events
(Doc ID 2544474.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 21, 2019
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.16.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
According to BRM documentation (here), it is expected that there will be events with a new valuation for the same amount (Example EUR 0), but with another GLID and /product according to another pricing plan, say PlanName1. On this assumption, the user has implemented another important part of custom functionality of BRM.
STEPS
------------------------------
Scenario:
(1) Create an account, create service, subscribe offer PlanName2
(2) Load CDRs
(3) Run Rerating
(4) Delete subscription PlanName2
(5) Subscribe offer PlanName1 (backdated)
(6) Run Rerating of events
ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
------------------------------
Rerating of events with 0 amount, which prevents rerating from generating adjustment events.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
------------------------------
At Step 2, there should be events with a new valuation for the same amount (EUR 0), but with another GLID and /product, according to the other pricing plan PlanName1.
Why is new event generated with correct amount (0), but new GLID is not created?
Why is new event generated only if the total impact is non-zero?
