Symptoms

Using:   Oracle Communications Messaging Server 8.0.2.3.20181024 64bit (built Oct 24 2018)

Messaging Server come to a screeching halt as Imapd swells and uses all the memory.

The '/var/adm/messages' file show errors like the following sample extract when the problem starts:


The output from "df -k" show swap at 100% capacity.

Due to this issue, system becomes unusable due to all of the memory being used up.
