P6 EPPM 18.8.x Web Managed Server Randomly Crashes (Doc ID 2547955.1)

Symptoms

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

The P6 Managed Server consistently crashes - moving it to a "Failed Not Restartable" status in the WebLogic Console.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The P6 Managed Server to continue to run without random crashes.

The following error is captured in the P6 Managed Server log (P6.log):

The WebLogic Server encountered a critical failure
java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
at java.util.Arrays.copyOf(Arrays.java:3236)
at java.io.ByteArrayOutputStream.grow(ByteArrayOutputStream.java:118)
at java.io.ByteArrayOutputStream.ensureCapacity(ByteArrayOutputStream.java:93)
at java.io.ByteArrayOutputStream.write(ByteArrayOutputStream.java:153)
at com.primavera.pvweb.GZIPFilter$GZIPResponseStream.write(GZIPFilter.java:351)
at weblogic.servlet.internal.DelegateChunkWriter.write(DelegateChunkWriter.java:109)

Reason: There is a panic condition in the server. The server is configured to exit on panic

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, the users randomly lose access to P6 EPPM Web.
