Encountering 'ValidationError In ASXML' Message with WebSphere (Doc ID 2548640.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 22, 2020

Applies to:

Oracle Insurance Policy Administration J2EE - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : Oracle Insurance Policy Administration J2EE version, Web services

When using WebSphere and configuring ValidationErrors in AsFile to validate the incoming request,
if one of the ValidationError messages is triggered, the response reported with the following error message:

Caused by: ValidationError in AsXml
at com.adminserver.webservice.helper.WebServiceHelper.createValidationSOAPFault(
at com.adminserver.webservice.bll.ReceiverBll.processFileReceived_aroundBody0(
at com.adminserver.webservice.bll.ReceiverBll$
at org.aspectj.runtime.reflect.JoinPointImpl.proceed(
at com.adminserver.extensibility.helper.aspects.ExtensibilityAspectExecutionHelper.executeReturningExtension(
at com.adminserver.webservice.aspects.BaseFileReceivedWebserviceExtensibilityAspect.executeExtension(
at com.adminserver.webservice.aspects.FileReceivedWebserviceExtensibilityAspect.ajc$superDispatch$com_adminserver_webservice_aspects_FileReceivedWebserviceExtensibilityAspect$executeExtension(
at com.adminserver.webservice.aspects.FileReceivedWebserviceExtensibilityAspect.extendProcessFileReceivedMethod(
at com.adminserver.webservice.bll.ReceiverBll.processFileReceived(
at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor.runWorker(
at java.util.concurrent.ThreadPoolExecutor$

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Configure an AsFile with the XMLData file and the XSLT file attached to this SR (I have created these files to demonstrate the SR only).
2. Send a request (Any XML file will work, I just send )
3. See that the response does not contain any useful information (See an example of response in the attached files)
4. See that the stack trace is saved in the logs and that the ValidationError is not returning the correct AsXML file.
