Goal

Q1.  Does Elasticsearch handle header and metadata searches?

With backends having:

So, if imapd is told to send header searches to Elastic and users search for "from user1@example.com", that's not valid?

Is this a documentation oversight? Surely if it is not valid, then imapd converts it to something that is what?

Q3. How does the Indexed Search Converter (ISC) work with LMTP?

In classic (old, non-LMTP, which is being used in this case), ims_master would send the message data to ISC.

In LMTP, is it tcp_lmtp_server that sends the message data to ISC? Or is it the LMTP client on the MTAs?

Q4. Is imap.indexer.bodytextonly ignored when using Elasticsearch?
