Problems After Running ALM 8.0.7 GUI Installer for New Install (Doc ID 2550556.1)

Symptoms

When doing a new install of Oracle Financial Services Asset Liability Management (ALM) 8.0.7 using the GUI option in a new environment with no other applications, you have multiple issues after completing the install:

First, you get an error when starting Tomcat / Weblogic / Webspshere as described in Document 2529337.1 "JNDI Name: null and FICMASTER Failed to Preload During Weblogic Deployment".

com.ofs.aai.exception.OFSAAException: DB Connection failed for DBName: CONFIG, DBType: ORACLE

Caused by: com.ofs.aai.exception.OFSAAException: Invalid connection detail. JNDI Name: null

After resolving the error above by updating AAI_DB_PROPERTY as described in the document, the web servers starts successfully.  However, when you attempt to create a new user for ALM, there are no ALM User Groups listed in Identity Management:

 

As a result, you cannot give the user access to the ALM application.

Additionally, if you go to the "Manage OFSAA Product Licenses" screen, it is blank.  There are no applications listed.

 

As a result of these issues, you cannot use the ALM Application.
