Symptoms

In $NMS_CONFIG/jconfig/global/properties/CentricityTool.properties, if you set WINDOWS.HTMLBROWSERAPPLICATION to blank, and then you attempt to bring up the Help screen, you get this error:

2019-05-24 09:26:24,323 [pool-3-thread-27] ERROR com.splwg.oms.jbot.adapter.JBotAdapter: java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Command line can not be empty

at com.splwg.oms.jbot.CommandProcessor.processCommand(CommandProcessor.java:163) ~[nms_client.jar:?]

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Edit $NMS_CONFIG/jconfig/global/properties/CentricityTool.properties
  2. Set "Windows.htmlBrowserApplication ="  (nothing after the equals sign)
  3. Install the config.
  4. Re-deploy.
  5. Launch.
  6. Attempt to open Help.
  7. In the client Java log, the error IllegalArgumentException appears
