SIM Published Message to RMS With Quantity Zero if Stock Is All Received Into Damaged (Doc ID 2553102.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 01, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 16.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a Purchase Order is received in Retail Store Inventory Management (SIM), the stock can either be received into goods available for selling or into damaged goods. If all the goods are received into damaged goods, SIM publishes a line with zero quantity for goods available for selling. The first line with zero quantity should not be in the message since nothing was received into available stock.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a PO in Retail Merchandising System (RMS) for a store using one single item
2. Go to SIM and receive the Purchase Order (PO) into damaged stock
3. Observe the RIB (Retail Integration Bus) message published by SIM contains two line items.

The first line with quantity zero and to_disposition ATS (Available to Sell).
The second line with the actual damaged quantity received with to_disposition TRBL (Trouble).
